Bottles for beverages and other liquids are thoroughly cleaned both before the initial first fill and before a refill. Different water qualities are needed depending on requirements. Particle-free, softened or demineralised water is often enough for technical liquids. However, the water has to be disinfected for beverages.

Crucial to reducing operating costs is having the option of recirculating cleaning water, at least for preliminary purification.

proaqua offers systems for producing and recirculating all kinds of washing water:

• Demineralisation systems (ion exchangers and reverse osmosis systems)
• Disinfection systems (chemical, catalytic and UV)

In this way, we can cover all requirements with the respective optimum system. In the case of water recirculation it is particularly important to make sure that the contaminants in the water are removed. In individual cases, chemical and physical pre-treatment may be needed for this; for example, neutralisation, flocculation, precipitation, flotation or membrane filtration.

The systems for recycling pay for themselves within a short period of time. In addition to this, we have systems for waste water treatment in our programme. The model is governed by the type and amount of contaminants. Our systems for this defined task are of a similar design to the recycling systems. On request, the water can be treated to be directly discharged, if required, with a final biological purification stage.
