The production of paints and varnishes is usually accompanied by the generation of waste water. In addition to residuals from the basic products, this also contains intermediate products or partial amounts of the made products.

Not only does this kind of waste water usually have a high neutral salt content, but also other substances that disturb the delicate balance of a municipal sewage treatment plant.

The major points of focus for proaqua are in the area of water management, the provision of ultra pure water for purification and production purposes, as well as the treatment of waste water. In addition to conventional CP treatment or biological processes, the latest catalytic processes, UV oxidation, distillation and membrane processes are also used in this process.

Another area of responsibility is cooling circuits and air washers; proaqua supplies complete solutions for conditioning process water.

Ideally, recyclable materials can be recovered and recirculated into the process.
